So if you load the clock at start up will it announce the time everytime the time changes? I certainly hope not because that would drive me nuts. (smile)

Hi Joanne,
You didn't say which version of Windows you are using, but this should work
the same for either XP or Windows 7.
1. Locate the clock program shortcut on the Desktop, and copy it to the
clipboard.
2. Type the following in the "Run" dialogue
start menu
Then press enter.
This will open the start menu folder.
3. Locate the programs folder, and again press enter.
4. Locate the "Startup" folder, and press enter.
5. Paste the clock shortcut here.
Now, if this worked, the clock will be loaded when Windows starts.

No it's my APH talking clock. I want it to start when my system boots up
just the way Jaws always starts up and other programs run at startup so I
don't have to open it every time.

Hi Joanne,
Knowing what clock you are referring to would be extremely helpful.
Your system clock can be read with Jaws using the Jaws key + F12.

I hope this is Jaws-related, and maybe it's more of a techy thing but I
have
tried so many suggestions and this simply won't work the way it should. I
have been to the help page and downloaded startup manager but I don't even
know how to make this happen in that program. What I want to do is to add
my clock to the startup menu so that when I boot up the computer the clock
is running, just like Jaws is set to run at startup. Does someone have
specific instructions on how to do this? I tried adding it in startup
manager too and it's set as enabled, but it doesn't start up and I don't
even see a full list that includes Jaws anywhere I've looked in Startup.

Thanks for any much-needed help.
