I was able to read the pdf by printing to Open Book 9. Still, I'd
appreciate a heads up on how to circumvent pdf protected view -
especially when the text is clearly visible to sighted readers. I think
that adobe is telling me that I can't alter this document in any way
and, apparently a screen reader reading the doc constitutes some form of
alteration.,

How do I remove protection on pdf documents? The doc is clearly
visible and it scrolls, so sighted people will have no issue reading it.
