will give that a try this evening when she gets home. I do not think it will work but worth the try. Last night I had her try to search for IE and run it but it could not find her wifi. -----Original Message----- From: Humberto Rodriguez Sent: Friday, June 26, 2015 9:46 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] messed up a computer with malware Hello Lenny: Have you tried going to c:\program files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe to start IE from there? If that works, just make a shortcut to it for the desktop, or pin it to the Start Menu or Task Bar. My grandson’s girlfriends computer was running extremely slow and I was asked to help. What a mistake. I first did disk cleanup and internet options to delete history etc. This made no change but removed over a gig of junk. I then had her download malware bytes and run it. It located 1,052 infections and removed them. It removed browser.exe and she can now not get on the internet. She is using a wireless card. It looks like her network is still there but the short cuts to internet explorer or her email are gone. --- Please visit my web page It’s motivational, inspirational with a touch of humor There is also a very extensive resource list for the blind http://www.LennyMcHugh.com International Brotherhood of Magicians member #43990R For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
