What is JAVA? Sometimes, when I'm on a site, I'm told that the script is slowing my computer (didn't have to be told that one), do I want to stop it, I always say yes.

That happens mostly in Dow Jones, and lately, I have been having trouble with the Dow Jones site. It's like it would hang my computer up, and we'd just have to turn it off at the tower - two days in a row, so now, it's bye bye Dow Jones, into Recycle it went!

Best to you from,

Carolyn

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS And JAVA 1.8

Hi friends,

I have a web site that JAVA is blocking, I need to add it to the acceptions site list but I can't figure out how to do this, is anyone able to help please? You are supposed to be able to go the control panel in Windows 7/8 and then to java and security where you can add a trusted site. Unfortunately, when I go in to the JAVA control panel, JAWS won't read anything, is there any way to get around this? I have tried searching on the web and creating an exception.site file in what would appear to be the correct folder but MSIE11 is still blocking this site.

Any help would be much appreciated.
