Press windows key+I, opens settings.
You are in a horizontal list of 9 items.
Pressing enter on any of these items will open a vertical list of items.
go up and down the list with the arrow keys, press enter on the list item you 
want to explore its settings.
tab across the various controls and make changes if necessary.
So to pin the, this pc, icon to the desktop.
Windows key+i.
Find personalization and press enter.
go down to themes and press enter.
tab three times, to desktop icons link press enter.
tab twice, you should hear, this pc, if not tab to change desktop icon links, 
which is the next tab, press enter.
Follow the prompts...
