Sounds like a bit of a money-making scheme to me, but, ... oh well. Dr. Tom Behler from Michigan

Go figure. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Tom Behler Sent: Monday, December 12, 2016 7:57 PM To: 'Jaws users list' Subject: [JAWS-Users] SMA Renewal Question Hello, everyone. My intent with this e-mail is not to stir up controversy, but to try to get the truth regarding upgrading a Jjaws SMA. Here's my situation: My current Jaws SMA ends with Jaws 18. I recently received a mail notification from Freedom Scientific advising me that I can renew my Jaws SMA for the next two Jaws upgrades for $120, as long as I do so by December 31. In a followup conversation with the FS Customer Service Department, I was told that if I wait to renew my SMA after December 31, that cost will go up to $180. I was always under the impression that the $120 SMA renewal cost figure would be the same as long as you renewed your SMA prior to the next major Jaws update. Perhaps I am mistaken here, and wonder what others know about this issue. I may not be able to renew my SMA prior to December 31, and just want to know what to expect, or how to advocate for a fair price. Thanks!
