Marc, could you shed some light on what the "boot-server" config. does 
and how it works? Is it all outdated or is that still part of the 
web-booting infrastructure? David says he doesn't know what this is for

I'd just like to clarify again that I'm not in a position to criticise 
anything - I'm just trying to work out what the differencs are at the 
moment :).

P.S. I do think the idea of keeping it the same as 2.4.* but with the 
new features still available sounds good. Then nobody has to worry about 
them unnecessarily.
