I'ld have to agree with Juha. CVS is a standard mechanism
for getting source in this world. Most firewalls are
rigged to let port connections that originate from
inside the firewall on through and hence would let a CVS fetch
through (ours at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
functions this way). However, some firewalls are extra
paranoid (such as Bureau of Census) and also block
most ports that originate from inside the firewall.
Your firewall is of the more paranoid sort.
Talk to your firewall support folks. It should be
possible for them to poke a hole through the firewall
for you.
