My Firewall (assuming SOCKS and Win Desktop) solution....

1. Dowload/install/configure SocksCap from NEC
   http://www.socks.nec.com.

2. Dowload WinCVS

3. Run-up SocksCap and configure it to launch
   SocksCap.

4. You're off and running....

5. I may be wrong, but i believe that WinCVS can
   be configured to work through a proxy if that
   is how your firewall is configured.
