I strongly suggest you investigate ways of using other JMS implementations with JBoss. It is not worth the effort to use JBoss's implementation for a production system.
I did notice that using the JVM IL works much more reliable.
The problems are vague, and I really need to submit good bug reports. Remember that the problems will not be looked at until they are defined and put in the bug database. So open those log files and put the relevant parts in a bugreport.
But what I really wanted to ask ... Has anyone looked at JORAM http://www.objectweb.org/joram/ or UberMQ http://www.ubermq.com/. They are both LGPL so license-wise should be ok to integrate/use in a JBoss project.
Due to a limited project budget I cannot look at commercial options, but maybe one of these two have potential.
