Quite so, I've made a small summary a while back on the state of things,

It is slightly out of date, but mostly accurate.

Writing the session manager has been the hard part and I wouldn't
recommend to take that on as a SoC project. The suggestion for writing a
bare-bones router by Pedro is a nice one, however most parts are already
there I would think.

That said, I would love to have some more eyes and help in developing
this to a basic jabber server.
