Moaning? This isn't moaning. This is serious business. If you create an .exe that installs a JRE, fine - that's ONLY a deployment mechanism. Hopefully you're not TRYING to limit yourself (and yes, I know the irony here) to Windows only... so you deploy Mac executables and unix shell scripts, too, right?
And It's IMPOSSIBLE, obviously, to have an install script of some kind look for a JRE, and - not finding one - clearly tell the user where to find one and install it on their own. IMPOSSIBLE.
