 a) This discussion should have gone to desktop-discuss
 b) I don't overly care about the naming of the linux/base spec
    files, though I'm wondering does it set a precedent to
    only create SUNW style spec files rather than worrying
    about linux as well?

Otherwise, the rest of it looks good.
