While writing up the steps for the reorg, I found one more issue: the ChangeLogs will have all the wrong path names. I can easily run them through sed (and I will) but the formatting of the main spec file will be all wrong because of the addition of a subdir. So I think it's best moving them aside and starting a new ChangeLog. They are 16k + 10k lines already, anyway. The old ChangeLogs will be called ChangeLog.pre-2-18.
Going forward, I think we will only need 1 ChangeLog, in the root directory. Given that there were no strong opinions on the name of the linux spec file dir, I'd like to call it base-specs. Laca
