Yes. the graphs will/can look very similiar to mrtg.

We use both nagios and JFFNMS. Nagios has better state
(up/warning/critical) handling and you can use things like statd to get
so host stats off the systems.
Never used opennms, couldn't get the damn thing to work.

JFFNMS is much more useful for network devices like routers and
switches, also hosts that use SNMP.
