Hi,
Freedom Scientific did a great webinar on ARIA two years ago. They have been
talking about using ARIA, the built in technology that enables screen readers
to access web applications for years. It is good to get on Freedom Scientific’s
training pages every month, because something new will be there. If you use
JAWS, get on the Freedom Scientific page, because that is where all training on
JAWS is. Have a great one.

Beats me, but I just got off the phone again with FS and it turns out that this
Application Mode nonsense is bound up with something called ARIA. In the JAWS
online help, locate the application-specific information on either Internet
Explorer or Firefox and you should find out more than you ever thought you'd
want to know about ARIA. I told them pretty clearly that they need to get
something into the online help that us dumb users will be able to find and an
entry about ARIA ain't good enough. Fact is that I never heard of ARIA until
today and wouldn't have known to look it up.
