Here's the article. I will put the link first and then the text. Here are a couple things to keep in mind. Once you press the little button on the side of the machine, you do need to select BIOS set-up from the menu. Also, f10 to save and exit didn't work for me. We had to save and then exit separately. It will ask you if you're sure you want to save the changes. Just a reminder that this will require sighted assistance.

Posted on March 23, 2014 by kiewic Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro seems to be the hottest laptop out there in the market right now. Yes, even hotter than a mac book air :) But the Yoga 2 Pro comes configured with some settings that are not the best settings for professionals looking for a powerful computer. One example of these weak settings is the default behavior of the function keys, by default they work as hot keys (mute the volume, turn up/down the volume, close a window, refresh, change display settings, turn on/off airplane mode, turn on/off the display, increase/decrease the brightness, etc.). To return to the old behavior of the function keys: 1. Turn off the computer. 2. Enter BIOS setup by pressing the little button next to the power button (see picture above). 3. Go to Configuration, select Hotkey mode and press Enter. 4. Select Disabled and press Enter. 5. Press F10 to save and exit. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Russell Solowoniuk via Jfw Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2014 12:23 AM To: Johna Lynn Nordin; The Jaws for Windows support list. Subject: Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro? Hi everyone, I am thinking of purchasing a new laptop running Windows 8.1. I’ve heard some good things about the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, which is a hybrid laptop/tablet. I’m wondering if anyone is using this model with Jaws, and, if so how well does it work? I’m running Jaws 16. The Yoga 2 Pro I’m looking at has an i7 Haswell processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 260 GB SSD drive. Some of the reviews I’ve read are good and some are not so good, but that’s usually the way with user reviews. There is a newer model, the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro which has a new 5th generation processor, but apparently the battery life isn’t as good, and it’s an extra 300 dollars or so. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who is using any of the Yoga Pro models. I’d also appreciate hearing about any laptops people are using with Jaws that work well. Thanks, Russell _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list [email protected] http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list [email protected] http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
