Andy,
I forgot to mention that I am using the same video chip set - a neo magic
(magicGraph128XV) on a 386 ThinkPad IBM notebook computer. display settings
are the same. Are all your back ground and screen saver options set to
none? You say yur computer goes into stand by mode. Maby that's the
problem. I know that with the other notebook, the toshiba tecra, the new
power settings cause that thing to crash when left alone for too long. I
did change the time on some of those things that windows 98 shuts down. It
always has a hard time snapping out of it when it goes into that mode. What
i have done is disabled the advanced power settings and installed the max
time manager off of my toshiba utilities CD. All is more stable.
