Carol,

Go to the edit menu and arrow down to word wrap to see if it is checked.
If it is, JFW will say "word wrap checked. This is a rather simplistic
solution, but it's the best I can offer. Maybe someone else can tell us
how to set the default so that word wrap is turned on when you open
Notepad.
