george you are better of replaceing note pad, it has a very small memory
capacity.
if you go to jfw friendly applications on the jfw list server their are several
you can link to.
both of those perform better with read all, plus both hold a much larger file.
personally file size is not so importan to me, but when you fill up memory and
can not scroll back to harddrive as one tries to enter text.
then it is time to scrap note pad.
what i mean is if i load a 40 page document into memory and try to type in a
note on the page it will not allow it because it says their is no memory, when
all other editors i ever used would allow me to enter the line and scroll some
of the print back to the harddrive to make room for my writeing.
