Hi Ann & all:
To check "use DOS screen reader in a DOS box":
1. Depress insert+6.
2. Depress Ctrl+shift+d.
3. Alt+s.
4. Depress "a" (for advance options).
5. Check the first item.
6. Tab to "OK".
7. Ctrl+s.

That should do it.
