I use a cable modem at home. There is no difference, unless you are used to
using a unix shell account. You can still use Internet Explorer 4 to browse
the web, or webspeak if you have it, and use eudora, outlook express,
netscape, or outlook 97 or 98 to read mail. You could probably still use
ie3.02 and internet mail and internet news as well. Hell, you could even
get DOS software working if you know all your networking addresses and
such. There really is no difference at all. I do it everyday and love it.
