To prevent information on the screen from being spoken by JFW, a silent
frame should be set-up around the information. Here's how...
1. Switch to the JAWS cursor.
2. Move to the beginning or top right corner of the information to be
silenced.
3. Press CTRL+ SHIFT+ [
4. Move to the end or bottom left corner of the information to be silenced.
5. Press CTRL+ SHIFT+ ]
6. When the Frame Manager starts, enter a name for the frame (e.g.,
BottomLine).
7. Press tab 3 TIMES UNTIL YOU GET TO THE "ECHO" TYPE BOX.
8. Use the arrow keys to select "silent."
9. Press TAB until you get to the "OK" button and press ENTER.

|I have a program that I must use, and it requires me to have screen echo

|to all. The bottom line of the window has a status bar and clock. Many
|programs allow this to be turned off, but this program does not. What is
|the easiest, most effective way to tell JFW to ignore this line of the
|window? In all other respects, the program is satisfactory, and I'd hate
to
|have to toss it, but having that line read almost incessantly is going to
|drive me to distraction.
