Hi Nancy,
The status window on which the application's clock is shown is usually different than
the other windows in the program.
In many cases, the clock itself has its own window. Here is a good way to try
silencing the clock:
1.
Activate the JAWS cursor and move it to the offending clock window.
2.
Press control-shift-left bracket to create a frame for the current window.
3.
Fill in the appropriate information, setting the JFW screen echo to silence.
