Hi Tom, Ammar here.
Let's try with the equalizer step by step:
1 - Choose a station to be able to judge for yourself on what is happening.
2 - press "alt" followed by the letter "v" to go to the view menu, then the
letter "e" for equalizer. Notice there may be a delay in executing your
commands, this is due to the processor speed.
3 - --Now with the Jaws cursor on, move down the screen to the line
starting with the word "hz".
4 - With the right cursor, go right till you reach the frequency which you
want to change.
5 - When you hear it spoken, move with the cursor up to the place in which
you want to put it.
If you're using the default mouse movements of Jaws, then You have four
places to move to: -18, Reset to zero, On/off - which is half way between
the zero and plus 18 -, , and finally pluss 18.
By the way, the cursor default movement distance can be changed from the
homeraw menu.
6 - Lock the left mouse with "insert /slash".
You'll hear the difference imediately.
Note: try with an effictive frequency like the four Khz, to be able to feel
the difference.
