Hi.

to remove the active desktop from windows 95, open your control panel.
Move to add and remove software. Tab down to the list of programs on
your list and find Internet Explorer 4.0 and then tab once to
add/remove button. Select this button and you wil be presented with a
dialogue that will ask you what components do you want to be
uninstalled. Here you should find the active desktop and select that.
Make sure that you have everything else unselected, because you could
uninstalled Internet Explorer as well.

Please take care with the above advice.

Cheers
Sean.

Hi.
I have something of a related problem which might be helped if
some one
could state how one installs IE 4.01 and "omits" active desktop
altogether
for users of 95.
I ask this question because I suspect that the answer will be
similar to
the question asked previously. So please answer both sets of
questions,
please Thank you in advance.!Windows
