Hi, listers, I had a problem with the internet, so I removed my IE 4.0 and
installed the IE 4.01 from the JFW 3.2 CD. But the program gave me an
active desktop and a toolbar which is announced but not read when I tab
between the sgtart button, the task bar and the desktop. There were
messages about removing or disabling the active desktop which comes with
Windows 98. But I am using Windows 97, and my active desktop has turned my
computer into a giant webpage. Do I have to uninstall the IE 4.01 and
begin again or is there a setting I can change to keep the browsing, the
Netmeeting, the MS. Chat and OE and Internet Mail and News, or whatever,
but to remove this webpage appearance and return my computer's desktop to
its old couch potato self? Thanks for your advice.
