Hi David,
The problem you are experiencing is a Windows problem. There is an easy
solution that works for me anyway. Hold down your Ctrl Alt and Windows
keys for a couple of seconds. The underlying problem here seems to be
that the Windows key will sometimes lock. That is why you ended up on
the task bar, since the hot key to go to the task bar is Windows Tab.
