Yes, I've used it with DVD with limited success.
You have to put jaws to sleep as soon as you can, which means you can't do
anything but play movies--no controls accessable, etc.
Your theory about the lower settings may be a good one, but I never had that
problem.
The DVD player just takes over, and I know I've been successful when the
movie starts.
