When creating a set of Norton rescue disks, it's possible to place a
screenreader on the first or boot disk, allowing you to know what's
going on.  I threw on ASAP, loading it through Autoexec.  I hope I never
have to use this set, but at least I know it works.  You're right about
the time it takes though; holy smoke!
