The reason HJ won't issue you a backup disk with your purchase is their 
fear that you'll use the product on 10 instead of 5 computers...absurd, 
of course, but try telling them that.  You also make a great point about 
down time.  That's the very reason Lotus Development gave up a similar 
protection system back in the 80's.  In their system you had one install 
of, say, Lotus 1-2-3.  If anything went wrong during the install, you 
were down until they could get a new install diskette to you.  Clearly, 
that was something that corporate users (especially) would not put up 
with, so Lotus had to abandon it to survive.  I suspect enough user 
pressure in the right directions could bring about the same results with 
HJ.
