I have had the same things occur with Scan Disk and Defrag. Eventually the
Scan Disk does run to completion, I Just tell it not to tell me about the 10
times and let it go.

Subject: jfw and scan disk
Hey gang.
I am having a very interesting problem with jfw and scan disk and defrag.
The problem is this. The launch of scan disk goes just fine. However,
after a few minutes jfw sayse that scan disk has restarted ten times
because another application is writing to this drive. It then asks me if i
want to cintinue receive this warning. I click yes just to watch it. The
same thing happened again.
It gets better. On a defrag you can watch the progress with the jaws
cursor. It only makes it to 3 percent and then starts again. Does anyone
have any ideas? Basicly the machine on both of these tasks is throwing
itself into a loop. Info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ---Jed
