Sorry I didn't know your email address, so I am posting this reply on the
list. I did happen to see your post about the Dec express.
Here is my situation. I have the internal pc 4.2cc. It works really
poorly. No response time, plus, speaks all those extra letters, cuts the
words in half, a real struggle to use daily. Only thing Dec has is the tome.
I am sending back in the internal, and trading in for an external to try.
They say its the firmware, and the express has different firmware, says Dec
compac. So, then I saw yoor post on the express, and the way it shutsg down
the speech.
What I want to know is; what does your actually do? how can I re-create
this when mind comes? What would you do with an internal that really isn't
working, yet I love the tome? Would you send both back, get your money
back, buy another double talk, or another really solid speech card?
If I do, I'd need tech support on putting the new one in, taking the old
dec out, doing all that stuff, and the guy who built my system won't give
me tech support any longer because my check cleared and he'd rather stiff
me at this point. What would you do?
