It took me two weeks to try it but it really does work.
Jaws does say the day of the week plus the date & then the current time.
If I may elaborate on one point:
you say to 'move to the time' but don't tell us how to do this.
By experimenting, I learned to hit the END key just below the HOME key & you get
the date & time spoken very nicely.
I don't think it is cumbersome or difficult. I can even remember the keystrokes
without a written copy in Braille (most of the time).
