A friend tried to buy a HP Pentium 2, 400 Mhz, 96 Meg RAM, 12 Gig hard
drive. He ask the store to install JFW 3.2 to insure it would work.
The JFW program installed, but when the program restarted it produced a
Kernel error and shut down. The installation was using the software
synthesizer Eloquence, the computer spoke all during the installation.
Is there a reason that the HP 400 Mhz will not run JFW 3.2? He did
not get the Kernel error. Are any of you running JFW 3.2 on HP 400 Mhz
and did you have to do anything special to get it to work? If you did
anything special to get it to work, please pass on that information.
I use a HP 230 at work and it works just fine with JFW 3.2. I am
interested in buying this same model HP Pentium 2 400 Mhz computer as my
friend tried to buy, but will wait for your answers.
