JFW AND COMPUSERVE FORUMS

Does anyone on this list use Compuserve as their service provider and JFW?
I have a couple of questions.
What is the difference between newsgroups like alt.comp.blind-users and
Compuserve forums?
Can you use forums with JFW?
Hope someone could give me some information.  
I am on my Compuserve trial period which runs out on the 14th of April.
