Hi Everyone.
I would like to make something clear about the different drivers that are used with HJ
or programs in general.
If a bug like the one that this thread is talking about occurs. Then the company
which supplies the drivers to HJ are responsible to fix the problem, not HJ.
That is, if the DECTalk drivers or firmware is causing the system to lock up with
certain characters. Then the company who develops the DECTalk must fix it. I have
not followed this thread that closely, so I do not know if this problem occurs in
other screen readers that use the same driver versions and Dectalk. If the problem
exists with other screen readers, then it is the DECTalk manifacture problem, not HJ.
If the problem only occurs in Jfw, then it is HJ's problem to fix. You need to
determine if it is JFW, the drivers or the firmware in the DECTalk causing the
problem. Rule out any DOS based screen readers, since they examine the screen
differently.
Regards
Sean.

I use a DEC Talk synthesizer and agree with others this must be a problem HJ
should have fixed a long time ago. I upgraded to JAWS 3.2 & went from IE
3.0 to IE 4.7 hoping to end the problem but it still exists. Who knows when
HJ will get with it.
