I missed the start of this thread, sorry, but,
I just thought I'd add that I had great success with the compuserve software (the one
supplied with win98) and jfw.
Had to use the jaws cursor a bit, but it makes heavy use of ie, so assuming your ie
settings are correct, compuserve should work great.
The installation is a snap, all that works well with jfw and the dialer just uses the
windows dialup networking.
If you don't need to use compuserve features and just want it as a ppp connection, you
can use your regular ie or netscape or whatever and just use the compuserve dialer to
bring up the net link.
