Hi,

Actually, the Startup tab in msconfig shows much more than just those
programs being started through the Startup group.  It also shows programs
being started automatically through keys in the system registry.  So, when
JFW shows up there, it is showing you that there is a registry entry
telling Windows to run it automatically when the computer starts.  This
does happen when the "run JAWS first" option is selected from the File
menu in the JAWS window.  Other programs that drop to the system tray will
also be showed in the Startup tab.  These would include programs like your
virus detection software, ICQ, and the Real Player.
