media ring installed, no jaws

My wife just installed media ring tonight and now my jfw has no sound even
though she changed the property box so that the program would not load up
automatically.  Does anyone know how to fix this problem?  I would like to
have sound back on my screenreader.  Do I need to uninstall media ring or is
there another way to make jaws talk?
