Hi.
Sure. Perhaps there are others who are also wondering so here are the steps
for creating hotkeys.
BTW: I am assuming that Dectalk is your default synth.
1. From the start menu choose settings/Taskbar to open the Taskbar
properties multipage dialog box.
2. Press Control+Tab once to go to the Start Menu Programs page.
3. Press TAB twice to get to the Advanced button and press enter. An
Explorer window opens up and you are in the list view pain.
4. highlight programs and press ENTER. Find and highlight JFW33 or JFW32
depending on your version and press ENTER.
5. Locate the shortcut for JAWS. This is usually the first one in the list.
Make sure it is highlighted then press ALT+ENTER to open its properties
dialog box.
6. Control+Tab to the shortcut page.
7. Press Tab until you get to the hot key edit field.
8. enter in a letter such as J for JAWS. Windows will automatically add the
Control+Alt akibg with your letter. For example, you press J and Windows
types ALT+CONTROL+J in the edit field.
9. Press Tab until you hear the OK button then press Enter.
10. repeat steps 5 through 9 for the Start JAWS with EloQ shortcut file.
Obviously, in step 8 choose a different letter than what you chose for the
JAWS hotkey.
11. Finally, press ALT+F4 twice to close the Explorer window and Taskbar
properties dialog box respectively.
Hope this makes some sence. If not reply privately.
Best Regards,
Vince.
