Hi Stacy,
I much prefer my typing echo to be by word in a word processor. I would
just make one point: whatever you use, this is what you tend to get used
to having and somehow depend upon it. I have known people who have used
typing echo set to characters and they can't bear the thought of using it
in words only. On the other hand, I wouldn't like to have no feedback at all.
Hope this makes the point.
Anyway, JAWS provides the three modes for us to choose and that's the
important thing, that there is some choice here.
