Hi Rose and List,
If the setup file starts, you get a dialog.  You should be ok if you just
press the "exit setup" or "cancel"  (Sorry, I don't know the exact wording,
but you get the idea.)  Once you do this, you can use Windows Explorer or My
Computer to poke around on the CD.
