I once asked tomeone who should have know about negating the cd from executing when I
didn't want it to, but just to explore.
He said there is nothing to prevent it.
I must try teh Shift key next time.

Hi Rose,
When you insert the CD, hold down the shift key. This should bypass the
automatic starting of the CD installer.
