RJ's advice may well be the solution. I'm running absolutely identical
installations of 3.3 on two systems ... my home system and my work system
... both running Win 95 at the same release level, both running DEC
Express synths, etc., etc. In other words, as similar as possible. I see
all kinds of flaky behavior on my work system that I don't ever see on my
home system and I'm sure it's the video card. The work system has a
Matrox Millennium card and the home system has a S3ViRGE adapter. Also,
I've seen problems reported here that I've never encountered despite
people claiming they have them constantly and that they can repeat them at
will. Similarly, I've reported problems to H-J that they cannot
reproduce. Again, I attribute nearly all of this to different video
cards. For good or ill ... and I suspect it's both ... JAWS is very
tightly tied to the installed video system and I'm prepared to hazard a
pure guess that somewhere between two-thirds and eighty per cent of all
JFW problems stem from the video card and nothing else.
