Hi Everyone.

In regards to memory allocation problems with JFw and windows. It is a good idea on a
regular bases to re-install windows and all applications, at least once a year. This
is specially true when you install and unstall a large number of programs. By doing
this, you will solve a lot of problems that windows develop over a long period of use.

Cheers
Sean.

Hi! I don't envy you and everyone who is having such problems with IE5 and
memory. IE5 is faster but it is a memory hog as well as taking up valuable
system resources. the old culprits of video card, resource alloation and
the order that programs are loaded may be the problem. If you're able, you
might want to close down every running program, then run IE and JFW only and
try to add favorites and see what happens. If you've run scandisk then
there are hopefully no hard disk problems. This whole thing is puzzling to
me. I support printers for a living and I experience similar problems with
customers when they unknowingly install our software with things open in the
background. You may want to try reinstalling everything again, this time
making sure everything in the background is closed, closing down your
antivirus program first. I've found that some virus protection programs
think anything you install is a virus so even though your program says all
was installed okay problems arise.

Just a bit of brain storming here, I hope it helps someone.<smile>
