It's probably a good idea for everyone who uses JFW to memorize the
keystrokes necessary to change synthesizers if problems like this
occur.
Insert+j to open the Jaws application window
Alt+l to pull down the language menu
c to open the change synthesizer SubMenu
Then, press the first letter of the desired synthesizer.
Judging from some of the discussion here the braille load error has
caused people many problems and is basically useless to blind people
since speech is not yet active when it appears.
Now, I can't remember for sure and can't quickly verify this since I
don't have a braille display on this system. But if I remember
correctly the braille load error is on by default. Wouldn't it be
better if HJ set this to off?

Subject: Re: big disappointment with re-installation of jfw3.3, help
please!
i had this similar problem with jfw 33 what it appears to be doing is
putting
your synthesizers in alphebetical order so it is likely searching for
dec
express and of course if dec is on the wrong com it won't talk. i
just got
someone sighted and opened three three and then went to the jaws
wendow and
changed my synthesizer to elequence then i went to the default manger
and
changed elequence to my default synth. hope this helps.
