Hello Carol,
It would seem that you can type faster than that function can check to see
if the current item is a checkbox! I'll have to ponder this a bit--trying
to put in a set of condition statements to check for an edit-type class and
type code would probably give the same results, since it would have to take
the time to check for that info before issuing the appropriate output.
A "local" SpaceBar() script that only issued a Space character might do the
trick, since it would override the global SpaceBar() script, and should keep
up with your typing speed since it isn't checking for anything.
Of course, fixing the problem of not announcing the status of checkboxes
when the SpaceBar is pressed, would solve all of those script-side effects!
How about letting the HJ support staff know that you've found and fixed the
missing Space problem, and then ask them about the SpaceBar/Checkbox status
problem!
