Window-Eyes 3.1 springs ahead of JFW 3.3 in Web access. The
latest rendition of Window-Eyes works almost seemlessly with
Internet Explorer 5.0 because of its support for Microsoft Active
Accessibility. This combo presents web pages as documents that
are temporarily stored on the user's computer. These "web
documents" are navigated and read just like other documents.
There is a "continuous read" feature which lets the user read an
entire document with a single key tap.
Window-Eyes lets the user select and then copy or cut pieces of a
web document for later use. This is a very useful feature
reminiscent of the "cut block" feature in Vocal-Eyes. But, the
selection keys are a bit nonstandard and therefore somewhat
annoying to remember.
