Loading programs With JFW running?

Hello Everyone,
When loading a new program whether it be off the internet of off a disc do
you have to turn off JFW to install the programs? If you have to turn of JFW
and you don't  (say you forget to do this ) will this ruin JFW? Thanks for
the help!
